RORY MARCHES ON !

It was fantastic viewing last night watching Rory mcIlroy make his way into the quater finals of the WGC matchplay by beating Tim Clark on the 15th green.
Butch Harmon said " Rory is already a star, and soon will be a superstar."
Ernie Els said"Rory will take over No1 spot in the World"

It comes as no surprise to any of us that know's him. He has been breaking records in Ireland and Europe, since he arrived on the stage as a 14 year old Champion.

Tonight's viewing will attract big TV figures,as he takes on Aussie Geoff Ogilivy.

His long time coach Michael Bannon deserves a lot of credit. He has been involved since he was 10.

Tonight line up: Rory mcIlroy v Geoff Ogilivy
Ernie Els v Stuart Cink
Sean o'Hair v Paul Casey
Ross Fisher v Justin Leonard

We thought we would open this one up on our Blog for a place where blogger's can post ideas, suggestions and indeed help advice for people looking to get started in the game of golf.

What has happened to Harrington ?

The past four week's have been poor for Padraig Harrington in the USA. In what was supposed to be a build up to the Masters in April, has turned into a major disaster. With wins in the OPEN and US OPEN,Harrington could join an exclusive group who have won three Major's in a row, come April at Augusta.(Ben Hogan and Tiger are the only two to have won three majors in a row.)
Instead Padraig flew home last night after losing out to Pat Perez in the last 32 of the WGC matchplay in Arizona on the last green.
It ended 4 poor week's for Padraig. He finished 23rd in the Buick Invitational and missed the cut at both Peeble beach and Riviera.
He claim's to be practicing too much and not concentrating on the right area's to be competitive.

Can he get it right for Augusta ?
Would you bet against him ?

mcIlroy v Tiger.

I am looking forward to the possibility of Rory mcIlroy meeting Tiger in the last 16 of the matchplay event in Arizona.
Rory has made great in road's while Tiger has been out of action. Having played the first two rounds with Rory,Mark o Meara who was like a father figure to Tiger when he came on the PGA tour first, said "At 19 years, McIlroy is a much better swinger than Tiger was at that age."

Is it too early for Rory to take on and beat the Tiger?
Will Rory ever overtake Tiger ?
Will Tiger look forward to meeting Rory?

Look forward to hearing your view's....
