It is no surprise that the World No1 Tiger Woods has opened up a 3 shot lead at the halfway stage of the JBWeir MASTERS in AUSTRAILIA.
Tiger added a 68 to his opening 66 for a 10 under par total and he has a 3 shot lead over Greg Chambers 68/69,Jason Dufner 70/67 and James Nitties 66/71.
Gary Murphy needs a top 15 finish to save his tour card for next year, and to save a visit to tour school at the end of November. He is putting up a great fight. He opened with a 71-1 and after 13 holes had gone out to +2 and in danger of missing the cut.
He showed great courage to birdie the 14th and 15th to finish on level par and a share of 34th place.
Gary will be able to have a good shot over the weekend, and everyone in Ireland will be behind him.
