Tandragee Golf Club won the Ulster section of the Fred Daly trophy for the first time when they beat Royal Portrush in the final by 4 games to 3. The Tandragee team had great wins over Dungannon, Kilkeel, Balmoral and Donaghadee in the semi-final.
Tandragee made the long journey to Dungarvan Golf Club in Cork to face Athenry in the All Ireland semi-finals. Jamie Stothers lost the first game for Tandragee on the final green. Adam Brown levelled matters with a tie hole win over David Byrne. James Hewitt gave Tandragee the lead with a 5/4 win but the only other win came from Stefan Greenburg on the 17th. Defeats from Ross Dutton 4/3,Jack McClean 2/1 and Jordan Laverty 3/2 left Athenry winners by 4 games to 3.
Adare Manor were easy 5-2 winners over Forrest Little in the other semi-final.
Athenry proved how strong a team they had with a 5.5 to 1.5 win over Forest Little in a one sided final.

Athenry Golf Club won the Fred Daly Trophy when they beat Adare Manor Golf Club in the All-Ireland Final at Dungarvan Golf Club by 5.5 - 1.5.
In the semi-finals Athenry defeated Tandragee 4-3 while Adare Manor beat Forrest Little 5-2.
