Damien Mc Grane played in the Irish PGA Naas Pro-Am during a week off from the European Tour. He showed his class by hitting a record score of 9 under par 62.
Mc Grane who is currently 48th on the Race to Dubai table with €439,258 was the clear winner by 4 shots from current Irish PGA race to Mount Juliet leader David Higgins and also Mark Staunton, Mark O Sullivan and Simon Thornton who all shot 66.
Past Irish Close amateur champion Mark O Sullivan, now an assistant at Ashbourne Golf Club, brought in the winning team with 92 points, beating Mark Staunton and Philip Walton's teams by a single point.
