Korea win ladies Amateur world team championship.

The Korean Ladies team broke the scoring record in the World Amateur team championship in Buenos Aires in Argentina. With the top 2 scores to count from 3, they started slowly with a one under par score that left them 7 shots behind the USA team.

The second day Korea moved into the lead when Ji-Hee Kim shot a course record 63 and Jung-Eun Han had a 65. There 15 under par total moved them to 16 under and a one shot lead from the Americans.

The third day Hyun-Soo Kim was the star for Korea when she hit a 66, and with the other two scoring 68s they opened up an unbeatable 13 shot lead from the US.

The final round saw 17 year old Jung-Eun Han shot a 69 which gave her the individual prize with a 13 under par total of 275. Hyun-Soo Kim had a 70 to give Korea the record winning score of 30 under par 546, beating the US team by a record 17 shots.

Ireland sent their strongest possible team, but could only manage to finish in 11th place. 15 year old Leona Maguire scored 72, 70, 77, and 69. Her twin Lisa scored 73, 73, 70 and 74 while Danielle McVeigh never got to grips with the course, shot 72, 76, 79, 79.
