DIFFICULT CONDITIONS FOR EUROPRO EVENT IN ESSEX.

The golfers had to contend with hurrican Bill as they played the first round of THE BROOKS BROTHERS 2009 CLASSIC at FIVE LAKES GOLF CLUB in ESSEX.
Mathew Evans,Andrew Shakespear and Steven Mackie lead the field with 3 under par 68s.
Only 8 players managed to break par.

With only one tournament left after this week, the Irish lads were hoping for some good results to move up the order of merit.
The best they could manage was level par by Stephen Grant and Richard Kilpatrick.
Grant will be dissapointed as he was 3 under playing the 16th.He made a double bogey and followed up with another bogey at the 17th to undo the good work.Kilpatrick was happier as he made a birdie at the 18th to finish on par.
Brian McElhinney started and finished with a birdie for a +1,72.Barrie Trainor finished bogey, bogey for a +3 score of 74.Brendan McCarroll was 1 under after 11,but lost 6 shots in 4 holes, before birdieing the short 17th to finish +4,75 and Tim Rice who made a great recovery after being +4 after 2 holes to join McCarroll and Jonathan Mallon on 75.
