Elliot Saltman sets new record at Formby in Europro event.

Elliot Saltman who has been very quiet this year so far, finally woke up to shoot a new course record of -7,65 in the first round of the FORMBY HALL CLASSIC near LIVERPOOL.
He got a great start with an eagle at the 3rd and never looked back, going on to hit 6 birdies with only one bogey. His two brothers, past Walker cup player,Lloyd and Zack were also playing but both returned 75s.

There was no good news for the 12 Irish playing. It will be another day struggling to make the cut.
Former winner,Brian McElhinney was 5 under par after 9 holes but fell away over the back nine with 2 double bogies to finish on level par 72.Tim Rice needed to hole his second shot at the par 4,10th to also finish on par.Brendan McCarroll had a one over par 73,while Daniel Sugrue,Richard Kilpatrick and Michael McDermott can't afford to make any mistakes today as they are on the cut mark of +2 74.
