Saltman loses lead to Tim Dykes at Formby Hall.

Elliot Saltman who shot a course record -7 65 in the first round of the FORMBY HALL CLASSIC on the EUROPRO TOUR,struggled in round 2 for a +2 round of 74.He had to give up the lead to Tim Dykes who shot a second round of 71 to go with his opening 67.

Dykes is on 6 under par going into the final round today. The £10,000 first prize would be a big help to him as his best finish this year has been at the Motocaddy Masters where he finished 36th.He is in 111th place on the order of merit.

Only 2 out of the 12 Irish playing managed to make the cut on a difficult scoring day.Former Europro winner Brian McElhinney had 4 birdies and 3 bogies for a 71 to add to his opening 72 to easily make the +3 cut on 1 under par 143.

It was a poor display by the other 10 Irish, with Brendan McCarroll 2 shots away from the cut mark of +3 and at the bottom end Michael Lavelle and Michael McDermott missed by a massive margin of 14 shots on +17.
