Tom Haylock came from nowhere to win the FORMBY HALL CLASSIC on the EUROPRO TOUR with a final round of -4,68 in difficult conditions. His 5 under par total of 211 won him the first prize of £10,000 and added to the £10,000 when he won the STOKE BY NAYLAND event last month has lifted him into 2nd place on the order of merit table.
James Freeburn was second on 4 under par with a closing 68.Overnight leader,Tim Dykes took 75 to share 3rd place with Jack Doherty,Michael Bothma and Ricky Lee.
The best of the Irish was Brian McElhinney in 20th place after a closing 75 left him on +2 and Tim Rice was 30th on +3 after a closing 76.
With only 2 tournaments left it is unlikely that any Irish will make the top 3 as the best is Paul oHanlon in 27th place.Barrie Trainor who didn't play this week is 37th and Tim Rice is 38th.
