Triple major winner Padraig Harrington miserable season continues after he packed his bags early and made his way to Sawgrass for some early practice for next weeks tournament.
In the Quail Hollow Championship in North Carolina, Padraig was cruising in round one,sitting on 4 under par after 16 holes and chasing Tigers 65. He found water on the 217 yard 17th to run up a triple bogey 6,and after finding water down the left of the 478 yard,18th he made a double bogey 6 to sign for a one over par 73.
"I hit the Self Destruct button" admitted Padraig. He followed up with a bogey,double bogey start to round two and could only manage a 75 to miss the cut bt 4 shots.It was Harringtons 3rd missed cut from 8 starts this year and no top 10s.
Left hander Bubba Watson and Retief Goosen lead the way on 8 under par,one clear of Tiger.
