Peter Lawrie in great position to retain Spanish title.

Peter Lawrie is still in a great position to defend his Open de Espana title in Girona with a third round 71. It could have been soo much better, as he had to wait until the 14th hole, before he made his first birdie after 13 pars.Another birdie two followed at the short 16th before he made his first bogey at the final hole.
Lawrie sits on 11 under par,3 shots behind Thomas Levet who also fired a 71.
Englands Stuart Davis moved into second spot after a brilliant 67.

Paul McGinley was 9 under after 9 holes,but faded on the back nine with 3 bogies to fall back to 6 under and joint 14th.
Gary Murphy fell completely out of the picture with a 77 and is now 5 over par.
