Lisa Maguire wins Ladies Irish Close Championship.

14 year old Lisa Maguire who was beaten by her twin sister Leona in the final of the Irish Ladies Close Championship last year has added her name to the trophy this year,by beating Mary Dowling in a one sided final that was full of birdies,mostly by Lisa.
After the shock defeat of Leona by Bangors Victoria Bradshaw at the 2nd tie hole,Lisa was determined to keep the trophy at the Slieve Russell golf club in Cavan.
Lisa was taking no chances in the final as she birdied the 2nd,3rd,4th,6th,7th and 8th and even though Mary biried the 8th and 9th she still turned 4 down.
Lisa kept the pressure on Mary with steady golf on the next few holes and it was on the 14th green that Lisa finished of the game.
Leona was the youngest ever winner last year at 13,and now Lisa this year at 14.
The future is bright for the Maguire twins.
