DAMIEN MOONEY WINS AT WINDY NARIN & PORTNOO.

Big hitting Damien Mooney won the 36 hole Nairn & Portnoo PGA Pro Am with scores of 71 and 72.The 71 was made in quite calm conditions on the Saturday,but it was the second round of 72 played in very windy conditions that seperated him from the rest of the pack and left him the clear leader on 3 under par 143.

Only Glen Robertson was able to better Mooney's score with a fantastic 3 under par round of 70 that lifted him into solo 4th place despite taking a 76 the previous day.

First round leaders Eamon Brady and Garry Cullen on 5 under par 68s,had to settle for joint 2nd as they both took 77 in the second round.

Martin Mc Ternan from Co Sligo took home the winning team of local members.Padraig Mc Hugh(11),Sean Rodgers(17) and Patrick Harkin(18)returned a winning total of 184 points.
