Good week for Kilpatrick in Egypt..

Golf is a funny old game.Ask Richard Kilpatrick from Banbridge. He played in 5 events on the Challenge tour this year and won 1,200 Euros. He also played in 9 Europro events and could only manage a total of 505 Euros, but this week with an invite to play in the Egyptian Open he played great golf to finish on 3 under par and took 11th place on his own and won $3,900.It was more then double what he won all year.

Gareth Shaw also recovered well after taking 74 in the first round. He finished on 1 under for the 4 rounds and finished in a share of 16th place.

Englands Steven Tiley was the run away winner. He shot a closing round of 68 to win by 4 shots on 13 under par.
Ryder cup captain Colm Montgomery finished 5th on 6 under par and 7 seven behind Tiley.
