Westwood in pole position for order of merit title.

Lee Westwood is playing the best golf of his life as he heads into the final round of the Race to Dubai title. With a brilliant third round of 66 he finished on 15 under par for a 2 shot lead over Ross McGowan who matched him shot for shot for a 66 to sit on 13 under par.

Current No1,20 year old Rory McIlroy was up with Westwood until the last 3 holes. He made 3 bogies for a 69 to join fellow countryman Padraig Harrington 69 and Alexandre Noren 67 in joint 3rd on 10 under par and 5 behind the leader.

It is going to be hard to catch Westwood, but McIlroy will be looking for help from McGowan,Harrington,Noren,Garcia and Geoff Ogilvy,to make sure that he wins the order of merit for 2009 and becomes the youngest winner since Seve Ballesteros won back in 1976.Westwood on the other hand will be looking to capture his second title. He last won back in 2000,stopping Colin Montgomery from making it 8 titles in a row.
