Molinari brothers win World cup for Italy.

The Molinari brothers held their nerve to win the World Cup for Italy by beating Ireland and the holders Sweden by a single shot after 72 holes of fourball/foursomes around the Mission Hills course in China.

It has been a great year for the Molinari boys with younger brother Francesco finishing 14th in the Race to Dubai and Edoardo winning 3 times to earn a record amount on the Challenge tour.

At one stage they were 4 shots behind Ireland but with the help of some great putts by Francesco on the back nine and a few careless bogies by the Irish boys the Italian's found themselves in front by one playing the last.

A bad 2nd shot by Edoardo into a bunker was followed by a world class recovery by Francesco leaving a 2 foot putt for victory after a final round of 68 left them on 29 under par.

It was a first World cup win for Italy and was well deserved as they were up against the two favorite teams in Ireland and holders Sweden and managed to not only compete with them but beat them on the last day as Sweden had a 69 while Ireland had a 70.
