Peter Whiteford win final challenge tour event !

Scotland's Peter Whiteford won the APULIA SAN DOMENICO GRAND FINAL event in ITALY and with it a cheque for 51,500 Euros and a 5th place finish in the Challenge tour order of merit which gives him a full European tour card for next year. His 72 hole total of 5 under par and a birdie at the first play off hole beat Aussie,Andrew Tampion.
It was still a good day for Tampion who picked up a cheque for 34,200 Euros which allowed him to jump from 39th place into 15th which will also give him a card for next year.
Andrew McArthur's finish of 2 under and joint 4th means he will also make the main tour next year as he finished in 17th place. With the top 20 gaining cards next year you have to feel sorry for Peter Gustafsson who was 21st and Christoph Gunther 22nd.They were knocked out of the top 20 by Tampion and McArthur.

Edoardo Molinari will make a welcome return to top level golf next year as he had a record year winning twice and amassing a record total of 242,980 Euros.
