Moriarty best of the Irish at Q School.

Colm Moriarty is the best of the 12 Irish competing at the 2nd stage of qualifying around 4 different courses in the south of Spain.

Moriarty shot a second round of 70 to sit in joint 7th position at the Sherry golf venue on 5 under par.Simon Thornton is on the cut mark of 3 under par after a second round of 73.

The only other Irishman on the cut mark is Johnny Caldwell.He shot a 2nd round 73 to finish in a tie for 16th on 3 under par at Hacienda Del Aloma.
