McIlroy & Westwood open with 66s in Hong Kong.

38 year old Udorn Duangdecha from Thailand who has never won a professional tournament and has no World ranking leads the HONG KONG OPEN after a brilliant opening round of 8 under par 62.Netherlands Robert Jan Derksen led for most of the day with a 63,before Udorn surprised everyone with his 62.

The real fight is between Rory McIlroy and Lee Westwood to see who can lead the order of merit going into next weeks Race to Dubai.Westwood leads by 50,000 Euros. They are keeping a close eye on each other this week and are locked together in 16th place on -4 66s after round one.

Graeme McDowell is in joint 29th after a round of -3,67.Darren Clarke who needs to make at least 20,000 Euros this week if he is to make the top 60 for Dubai next week,is on the predicted cut mark of -1,69.

Shane Lowry is down in 110th with a +2,72 and Michael Hoey is another shot behind in 118th place after a +3,73.
