(20)TWO WINS IN A WEEK FOR MICHAEL COLLINS.

Michael Collins made it two wins in a week when he won the Irish PGA Greenore Challenge with two rounds of 69 for a 4 under par total of 138. He had already won the Adare Manor Pro-Am five days earlier with a 65.

Damien Mooney was leading by a shot with two holes to go, but unfortunately dropped shots at the 17th & 18th, while Collins made a birdie at the 17th for a fine 2 shot victory.

Overnight leaders, Ted Higgins took 75 to finish on 1 under par for 3rd place, while Michael Mulryan lost control in the strong wind and took 79 shots to finish down in 7th on +3.

The Pro-Am team prize was won by David Mc Quillan( Castlebar ) and his amateur partners, Noel Mc Grane, Michael Chambers and Jim Liston when they returned 92 points. Local professional Robert Giles won the Professional prize with a 6 under par 65.
