59 year old Watson is so nearly Champion again !

What other sport in the World could you watch a 59 year old getting so close to winning a Major title ? Tom Watson was a par4 away from re writing the golf history books.Millons watched as he hit an 8 iron right at the flag, only to see it roll over the green. His 3rd shot went 12 feet past and his putt for par was always weak and to the right. The fairytail had ended.
32 years after winning the "Duel in the sun"against Jack Nicklaus at the same Turnberry course,Watson's body wouldn't let him compete against Stewart Cink in the 4 hole play off.He had put so much into the 72 holes and trilled the crowds and TV audience all over the world. He was bound to have felt deflated as he knew his chance had gone, and 36 year old Cink was looking for his first major.
Cink was taking no chances as he was 2 under par for the 4 holes, including his second birdie at the 18th on the day.
Watson heads to Sunningdale for the Seniors Open championship this week,a title he has won 3 times before and the following week he plays in the US Seniors.
THANKS TOM FOR A WONDERFUL WEEK !
