Norman leads Seniors after brilliant 64.

Greg Norman is in line to join an exclusive band of players if he can hold on to win the SENIOR OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP at SUNNINGDALE today. Only Bob Charles,Gary Player and Tom Watson have managed to win both the OPEN and SENIORS OPEN and now Norman can join them if he can hold on to the 1 shot lead he takes into the final round after a brilliant -6 round of 64 in the 3rd round.
Norman sits on -10 and has a 1 shot lead over the 36 hole leader Fred Funk who came back into the pack with a 2 over par 72.He is joined on -9 alongside 2006 winner Loren Roberts.Denis Watson -8,Larry Mize and Sam Torrance -7 and Tom Kite,pre tournament favorite Bernard Langer,adopted Irish man Mark McNulty and Bruce Vaughan -6,could all challenge for the title.

Denis oSullivan was level par yesterday to sit in joint 27th place on -1,but Des Smyth had a bad day shooting his second 74 in a row after starting with a 66 and is away down in 57th place on +4.
