Irish golfers have a great finish in Bristol.

Paul Maddy led from start to finish when he won the Motocaddy Masters at the Players Club in Bristol.Maddy got a scare when he dropped 3 shots in the first 4 holes to go back to -5,but he recovered brilliantly with a final round of 68 to win £10,000 and a -10 total of 200.Maddy is up to 4th in the order of merit table.
In joint second was Mathew Ford who hit a -6 back nine of 29 shots for a course record 63 and Paul Dwyer who had a hole in one at the 16th on his way to a closing 64.They won £3,750 each.
The top Irishman was Paul oHanlon.He returned his third round of 68 for 4th place on his own on -6,204 and a cheque for £1,700.
In joint 5th place was Barrie Trainor.Barrie who opened with a 73,70 finally found his form with a closing -6 round of 64.He was joined by Tim Rice who had a closing 67 and former Ryder cup player,Lorne Kelly,Adam Frayne and Ben Jones on -3 207 and a cheque for £1,070 each.
Stephen Grant was 22nd after a closing 71 to finish on +1 and pick up £370.Brendan McCarroll sliped up coming near the end for 36th place on +2 and £335,and Paul McDonald was +5 after a 73 for £262.
