Harrington back on track for next weeks Open Championship.

The European golf club in Wicklow lived up to it's reputation as probably the hardest test of golf not only in Ireland, but in the World.
After round one of the Irish pga Championship only 9 players were under par,now after two rounds that number is down to 3.(In good conditions.)
The leader is Padraig Harrington on 4 under par after a second round 70 to go with his opening 68.Padraig is getting back to his best, just in time for next weeks Open Championship.
One shot behind Harrington is first round leader Leslie Walker.Walker had an up and down round of 72 that included 6 birdies,3 bogies and 2 double bogies.
The only other one under par is Richard Kilpatrick who has played very steady for two rounds of 70.
The best score of the day came from Simon Thornton who recovered from an opening 75 to produce a fantastic 67-4.
51 players from the 120 starters made the cut on 13 over par,and the unluckiest person in the field was Marian Riordan who made history by becoming the first female ever to qualify for the championship. She proved she wasn't there to make up the numbers when she made 4 birdies in a row at the 18th,1st,2nd and 3rd and only finished one outside the qualifying mark after scores of 80/76.
