Kaymer wins two in a row in Scotland..

In 2006 Martin Kaymer was playing on the EPD Tour with only average results.Towards the end of that season he got an invite to a challenge tour event in his own country of Germany. He won it and never looked back. By the end of 2006 he had gained his card for the European Tour for the 07 season. He won the rookie of the year in 07 and now has recorded 4 tournament victories.
Two wins in 2 weeks came at the Scottish Open when he cruised to victory with fantastic golf of 69,65,66,69 for a -15 finish and a 2 shot win over Gonzelo Fdez-Castano and Raphael Jacquelin. He won the first prize of 579,339 Euros to add to the 666,600 Euros he won in the Open de France last week after beating Westwood in a play off.
24 year old Kaymer is now 2nd in the Race to Dubai less than 200,000 Euros behind Paul Casey and has jumped up 8 places to 11th in the World rankings.

The best of the Irish was Damien McGrane. He jumped up 30 places with a closing 68 for a tie of 25th and a cheque for 33,022Euros. Darren Clarke who was on the leader board at one stage fell away badly with a closing 77 for a share of 28th with Graeme McDowell 70 and Paul McGinley 72. They picked up 20,508Euros each.
Rory McIlroy didn't have one of his best weeks. He was -3 after the first round but after closing with a 73 he dropped down to 46th on par 284 and only won 16,337Euros.
Shane Lowry also had a dissapointing finish. He struggled all day for a 79 and finished on +6 290,but at least with a cheque for 5,208Euros his was his second week in a row getting paid.
