North West's Michael McGeady could easily have joined them as he took a double bogey at the 18th,his 9th and still finished with a 65-6.
Colm Moriarty is one outside the projected cut mark on level par 71 in the middle of the field and Noel Fox is at the bottom after a miserable 6 over par 77.
