Europro star leads Challenge tour event.

Steve Surry who leads the Europro tour order of merit after winning the first event of the year at Collingtree Park,is in pole position in the SWALEC WALES Challenge tour event at VALE HOTEL GOLF & SPA resort in CARDIFF at the halfway stage.With very wet and windy conditions Surry has posted a -2 total after two 71s.

Only 4 of the 8 Irish made the record high cut mark of +7.Gareth Shaw 72/75 +3 is the best in joint 14th,Colm Moriarty & Michael McGeady had matching rounds of 74/74 +4 and Simon Thornton recovered from an opening 78 to hit a one under par 71 to make the cut by two on +5.

On the way home is Noel Fox 77,75 +8,Alan Murray 78/74 +8,Niall Turner 79/82 +17 and Stephen Grant 82/79 +17.
