English man Paul Maddy holds onto his 4 shot lead going into the last round of the Motocaddy Masters at the Players club in Bristol after a second round of 68.It was a good display by Paul as he made 16 pars and birdies at the 1st and 12th.
After rounds of 64/68 he takes a 4 shot lead from Paul oHanlon. In the last tournament Paul was only 2 shots behind Tom Haylock going into the last round but his game fell apart for a 78 and a drop down to 21st place. He will have learned from that experience and hopefully can attack the leader tomorrow.
6 Irish from 17 starters made the cut.which drifted out to +5 in the difficult conditions.
Brendan McCarroll 69/70 is on -1,Tim Rice 71/69 & Stephen Grant 72/68 PAR,Paul McDonald 74/68 +2 and Barrie Trainor 73/70 +3 are safely through to the final round.
