padraig Harrington won a hat trick of Irish PGA Championship's at the European club as the only golfer to finish under par,and now he is ready to follow the trends of the last two years and go on to win the Open Championship at Turnberry next week.
Padraig was able to shape the ball around the European club,avoiding most of the bunkers for a final round of 72 for a total tally of 283-1.Another links player,Brian McElhinney was second,7 shots behind Padraig on +6=290.Banbridge's Richard Kilpatrick was 3rd on +7,291.Brendan McGovern who was beaten in a play off by Harrington two years ago was joint 4th with Simon Thornton on +8 292.
