Great comeback by Damien Mooney in Europro.

Belfast's Damien Mooney who won the Irish PGA Club Professionals tournament in Dundalk recently,was heading for an early bath after taking a 8 over par 78 in the first round of the SURESHOT GPS INTERNATIONAL OPEN at BOVEY CASTLE GOLF CLUB in Devon. He was out early in the second round and played some magnificent golf to return a 5 under par 65.His overall total of +3 made the cut by 1 shot.
Overnight leaders Daniel Brooks and Carlos Balmaseda had mixed fortunes.Brooks returned a 67 to open up a 4 shot lead going into the final round.A win will lift him from 13th in the merit table into 2nd.Balmaseda went the other way by taking 78 and is now +1 from -7.
7 Irish from 18 made the cut with Brian Mc Elhinney,Brendan Mc Carroll and Mark Staunton the best on +1.
