Noel Fox has at last found his golf game this year. After 5 starts on the Challenge tour,he has only picked up one cheque and that was last week for 472Euros.He is lying in 168th position in the order of merit.
That could be all about to change,as he fired 6 birdies and 2 bogies in the first round of the Karnten Open presented by Marcus Brier in Austria.Fox is on 68,only 3 shots behind German Florian Fritsch and Spains Carlos Rodiles who both scored 65s.
Steady Gareth Shaw is in good shape once again, sitting in 42nd place on 2 under 70.
The other 5 Irish are struggling.Alan Murray +3,Peter o Keeffe & Stephen grant +4,and Michael Campbell & Danny Sugrue are holding up the field on 80 +8.
