Woosnam comeback to win Irish Seniors...

Ian Woosnam continues his love affair with Ireland. In his hay day he won the Irish Open in 1988 and 1989 and then captained Europe to their record win in the Ryder cup at the K Club.
Now enjoying life on the Seniors tour,he came from nowhere to claim the Irish Seniors Open at Ballybunion and 52,500 Euros, after a final round of 67.His 2 under finish got him into a play off with American Bob Boyd.It took 3 holes before Woosnam's birdie won him the title.
Long time leader Roger Chapman will have to wait for his maiden victory as he fired a 74 to be joined in joint 3rd with Tony Johnston.
The leading Irish man was Eamon Darcy on +1 after a good finish of a 69.Local favorite Des Smyth never got going and had to settle for a share of 16th spot on +6.
