Jerry Scullion leads Open regional qualifying at Royal Dublin

66 Professionals & amateurs took part in a regional qualifying event at Royal Dublin golf club,looking for one of the 8 spots available that would take them through to the final qualifying, for a place in next months Open Championship at Turnberry.
The finals will be played at Barassie,Glasgow Gailes and Western Gailes.There will be 96 playing at each course with only 4 from each venue heading to Turnberry.

The conditions were bright and very breezy,which made scoring very difficult.Gerry Scullion is no stranger to links golf,coming from Royal County Down.He took full advantage returning the top score of level par 72.Three amateurs keep their dream alive.Andrew Hogan (Newlands),James Fox(Portmarnock) and Sean Einhaus(Germany).
