Rookie Ramsey leads in Wales after 36 holes.

The Celtic Manor Wales Open is being led by tour rookie Richie Ramsey. He added a 67 to his opening 68 -7,to lead favorite Ross Fisher and Irish Open runner up Robert Rock by one shot.
There was mixed fortunes for the 7 Irish men.Paul McGinley who split with his caddy,Darren Reynolds after 6 years is in joint 12th after adding a level par 71 to his opening 68 -3.If Paul had of made two pars at the 12th hole he would be leading.
The one hole has cost him 5 shots as he took a double bogey in round two after suffering a triple bogey in the first round.
Peter Lawrie is in joint 33rd on -1 with Johnny Caldwell the only other Irish to make the cut on a higher than usual cut mark of +2.

The other 4 have a weekend off.Damien McGrane missed by one on +3,Gary Murphy +6,Michael Hoey +8 and Shane Lowry +10.Lowry continues to struggle as he only made 2 birdies in 36 holes and 12 bogies.
He will be hoping for better golf in the Open Championship qualifing round at Sunningdale on Monday.
