Home favorite Ian Woosnam had a bad start in the Ryder Cup Wales Seniors Open at Royal Porthcawl golf club. Woosnam is 6 shots behind Englands Bob Camerion who shot a 3 under par round of 69,against Woosies 75.
There are 5 Irish in action. Denis o Sullivan who isn't having a great year is the best.He is in a tie for 8th after a one over par 73. Des Smyth is in joint 10th after a 74. Eamon Darcy 75,Eddie Polland 77 and Jimmy Heggarty 80 make up the Irish party.
