Mark Staunton in good shape in Europro event.

Mark Staunton is sitting 4 shots behind Chris Hanson and Elliot Saltman after a great second round of 4 under par 68,in the Party poker.com sponsered Europro event,played at the Princes golf club in Sandwich,Kent.Elliot and Saltman are on -9 and lead the 51 players that made the cut on -1.
Of the 9 Irish players, only Staunton and Irish Assistant champion Barrie Trainor made it through to the final round tomorrow.Trainor finished on the cut mark after rounds of 72/71.
Brendan McCarroll was unlucky to miss out by one shot on level par after a brave 71.
Jonathon Mallon and Michael Lavelle were a shot further back on +1.
Padraic O Rourke shot 69 in the first round,but fell away to finish on +2 after a 77,and join Brian McElhinney. Patrick Geraghty +4 and Shane Franklin +7 were the other Irish casualties.
