Mixed fortunes for the Irish in Europro tour event.

Spain's Carlos Balmeseda and England's David Brooks returned brilliant 7 under par scores of 63 to lead the way in the SURESHOT GPS INTERNATIONAL OPEN at Bovey Castle golf club in Devon.
There was mixed fortunes for the 18 Irish playing.Brian Mc Elhinney played a patience round and got rewarded with a eagle at the last to finish on 68 -2.Brendan Mc Carroll and Tim Rice were the only other one's to finish under par.69-1.Barrie Trainor was 3 under after 7 holes,before his game fell apart losing 9 shots on the remaining 11 holes for a 76.Justin Kehoe was 5 over par after 2 holes but rallied to finish with a 73. Cian Mc Namara started with a 9 at the par 4,first.He kept his chin up to finish on 76.Michael Collins was -4 well into his round,but fell back to finish on 2 over,72.
